Date: 30/05/2013 SPANISH HOTEL GROUP DECAMERON TO BUILD 2 NEW HOTELS IN BOA VISTA
Spanish group Decameron plans to build two more four- and five-star resorts on the island of Boa Vista, in Cape Verde, adding 1,100 rooms to its network of 35 hotels, the Cape Verdean press reported.
Representing a total investment of 138 million euros, the contract has been signed with the Tourist Development Company of the Islands of Boa Vista and Maio, and the two resorts will be built in the Chaves Integrated Tourism Area, where the Decameron already has a hotel.
The four-star resort, which will be built in the northern area of Chaves, will have 600 rooms and a water park and the second resort, which will be classified as a five-star facility, will be built in the south of Chaves and have 500 rooms and a 27-hole golf course.
Construction is due to begin within six months and be finished by December 2015.
The Decameron group has 35 hotels in 10 countries in the Caribbean, Central and South America and Africa, and also offers tours through Decameron Explorer.
