The apartment has been designed in such a way as to have four areas :

LIVING AREA
The living area, constituted by the living room and by the large west facing terrace. The terrace, for its large size
and for its characteristics of outdoor living space, can be considered as a natural continuation of the living room :
the living room is "projected" to the wide door leading to the terrace. The entire east wall, inside the ling room, is
coated in the same color of wood floors (security entry door included), with furnishing effects very pleasant :
the wooden paneling of the wall offers a tone of greater finishing to the room and gives a sense of great
depth of field looking from west (terrace or kitchen) to the east wall.
The terrace is considerably large and from it you can enjoy the sea view.
In the terrace you can comfortably relax in the sun with sundeck chairs and you can make dinner thanks to a large
dining table for many people. The dining table can be served directly through the kitchen window.
The window between the kitchen and the terrace allows a pleasant relationships situation between those who are
in the kitchen and those who are in the terrace : the kitchen windowsill is like a sort of small bar counter, through
which those who are on the terrace can talk with those who are working in the kitchen.
The door leading to the west terrace from the living room has 2 ports that open like a book (not sliding) so as to
offer no obstruction in the position of "fully open" e so as to have the sensation of "whole environment" between
the living room and the terrace. This door is equipped with four louvered window packable "two by two" so as to
create the minimum encumbrance when opened
The terrace, for about two thirds of its area, is covered by ceiling solar shading consisting of wooden slats, natural
color mahogany. The wooden ceiling has the function to repair the terrace from the sun : the slats shadings,
arranged at "knife", have 5x12cm section and have a distance between the one and the other of about 11cm.
In the terrace you can eat or stay in relax anyway for the reason that the terrace is positioned downwind : the
prevailing trade wind (aliseum : direction north/east - south/west) on the terrace doesn't disturb. And if you install a
curtain on the wooden ceiling the terrace will be repaired from the moisture during the night and from the sunshine
during the day
The parapet of the terrace is in masonry up to 55cm in height from the floor, so as not to constitute optical barrier
at the sight of the sea for those who are on the deck chairs. The handrail above the parapet is in natural wood
color mahogany.
The terrace is equipped with spotlights placed at 25 cm from the floor, in groups of three, consisting of blue leds
embedded in the parapet, which are not only lighting but also reason for dcor of the terrace.
The terrace is equipped with taps (to clean fish, rags, cleaning, watering plants, etc. ..).

KITCHEN
The kitchen, totally separated from the living room, is an independent room and not a "kitchen corner as
usually in almost all apartments in Cape Verde. In the kitchen there is a window, with double opening system
("tilt and turn") from which you can see the sea when you cook and through which you can serve functionally
and directly the large dining table that is on the west terrace.
The gas cylinder for the cooker is housed outside of the apartment in a apposite compartment embedded in the
walls of the terrace : it for obvious safety reasons gas leaks. The access to the gas cylinder compartment (in the
terrace) is through a louvered door (to permit air circulation), aluminum anodised colour white.

SLEEPING AREA
The sleeping area consists of a compartment disengagement "filter" that leads to the bathroom and to the
bedroom.
The bathroom has a large walk-in shower-box with a platter size (1.35 x 0.80). The tiles of all the walls of the
bathroom are more valuable than those of all other series of apartments in the residence. The bathroom has a
window (120 x 120) for natural lighting and natural ventilation of the room. The electric boyler water heating
(kitchen sink and bathroom sanitary) is housed in a compartment above the box shower : this compartment,
whose dimensions are approximately 135 x 100, also serves as storage and is masked by a door with two shutters
in white aluminum (louvered windows, to permit air circulation).
From the two windows of the bathroom and of the bedroom has the view of the sea.

FLAT ROOF TERRACE
A wooden stairs (mahogany natural color) leads from the terrace to the roof flat overlooking the whole
apartmentfrom there you see the whole bay of Santa Maria.
The entire roof flat is paved with ceramic tiles, with the skirting in all its perimeter.
The parapet of the roof is in masonry up to 70cm in height from the floor. The handrail above the parapet is in
wood color white.
