There are not many places left in the world where a yachtsman can still be at one with nature.
One of these places is Cape Verde, 15 islands and only 9 of them populated. Till now, there have been no adequate docks or Marinas available - but this has now changed.
The Mindelo marina is now open.
MARINA MINDELO
Located in Mindelo, the capital of the island of St. Vicente.
The Marina is able to host more than 120 boats, up to 30m in length and 4.5m draft. All the facilities one expects of a state-of-the-art Marina will be available including gas, diesel, water, electricity and even a Bistro.
The international airport of Mindelo is now under construction. As of winter 2007,this will enable yachtsmen to fly directly to their yachts.Berths will be availble from daily rents up to lifetime rents. Prices and Tariffs for longterm leases are about 50% of the comparable Marinas in the Mediterranean or Canaries.
