Cape Verde tops Winter Sun Hotlist

Cape Verde has topped the EasyJet Winter Sun Hotlist, thanks to its 10 hours of sun each day and average temperatures of 24-25C through January to March. Easy Jet describes Cape Verde as 'an Atlantic island known for being like the Caribbean without the jetlag with white sandy beaches, subtropical climes, and a one-hour time difference with the UK has outshined the Canaries as the top destination for Brits looking to beat the winter blues'.  The Daily Mail reported the accolade, noting that Cape Verde was the hottest winter sun destination, thanks to its 'white sands, turquoise seas and return flights under £100'.
